I have found educational board games like Sequence for Kids have greatly increased my son’s social skills. These board games require turn taking, following rules and engaging socially; all essential traits required of successful interaction between people. We all enjoyed participating in family gaming sessions together allowing him to communicate better while sharing, accepting losses gracefully while having a great time building his social abilities! Educative tools provide children with engaging ways of developing these essential lifelong abilities through constructive play!

At home, my child uses apps such as Endless Alphabet that not only teach vocabulary but also encourage sharing their newfound knowledge with others. The interactive nature of these apps makes learning social activity and has allowed my child to gain confidence when speaking out and expressing himself/herself freely.

Integrating educational tools such as Color Pencil’s flashcards into group playdates has proven immensely helpful in my child’s social development. We typically play flashcard games where children take turns identifying shapes or animals on them. This fosters teamwork and communication among children as they take turns to identify shapes. These playdates have allowed my son to become more comfortable in social settings while teaching him positive ways of engaging with his peers.

Osmo’s Coding Awbie is an incredible way for my son and his friends to develop social skills. My son enjoys working together, solving puzzles together while sharing their progress. Creating opportunities to collaborate, problem-solve, communicate and cooperate together as part of this game’s pedagogy. Making an improvement noticeable both cooperatively and leaderically since using this tool!

Interactive games like Toca Boca apps have been an incredible way for my daughter to develop social skills. She can role play different scenarios while interacting with virtual characters – which has translated to improved interactions in her interactions with peers as she practices these skills on them! Moreover, these open-ended games foster creativity while providing opportunity for social learning and growth.

Playing Lego Duplo sets with other children has been an excellent way for my son to develop social skills, including cooperation and sharing between team members. My son has learned how to express his ideas clearly while listening and cooperating as part of a team. Plus its social aspect has allowed him to gain confidence and outgoingness within group settings.

Melissa & Doug Role Play Costumes have been invaluable for my daughter’s social development and creative playtime, providing her an imaginative outlet. My daughter especially enjoys dressing up and acting out various roles with her friends. This has increased empathy, understanding of differing perspectives, communication effectiveness and socialization skills all at the same time! These costumes also serve as a safe means of exploring social roles and behaviors within an unpressured setting.
